Gerald (Gerry) W. Bernard, P.Eng.

The GSE & APEGGA is saddened to report the passing of Life Member Gerald Bernard, P. Eng., of Edmonton, on February 4, 2005, at age 86.

Born in 1918, Mr. Bernard practiced engineering in Alberta for his entire career. He spent 10 years, from 1955-65, with Hardy and Associates Ltd. before forming the partnership of Bernard and Hoggan Engineering and Testing Ltd.

He remained a principal of the firm until his retirement in 1976; however, engineering consulting continued during Gerry's retirement until the early 1990s.

Members, friends and associates are invited to attend the celebration of Mr. Bernard's life and his long engineering career at the University of Alberta Alumni House from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., May 14.
